We first saw a PON when we were living in England and fell instantly in love with the breed. Since then we have spent a lot of time getting to know the breed mostly trough books. We have been in a good contact with breeders around the world that we trust and have learned a lot from them as well. So we have been preparing ourselves for two years. Now the time has come and we just got a confirmation that the very first PON in Iceland will be arriving from Finland in the beginning of december. The puppy is a girl from the breeder Ana Tikkanen ((Zalotnican kennel) who lives in Finland. We have already named the puppy Kolka which is a strong, Icelandic name and we found out that Kolka is a name of a beautiful peninsula in Latvia which is in the middle of Poland and Finland. Kolka was born on the 5th of june and has to be 5 months of age before we can import her to Iceland. When she arrives to Iceland she has to remain in an isolation facility for 4 weeks before she can come home and live with us and by that time she will have reached the age of 6 months. We are obviousily over the moon.
